The Curious Corpse in the Cavern: Book 1
Who thought Doofus and Floofus would be the best cat detectives in Quinn?
Starting over in a sleepy small town would never be easy, but Misty Milton’s gourmet cat food delivery business soon made her a hit with the locals.
Well, most of them…
Until her cats help a teenage couple uncover a curiously preserved 50-year-old corpse while hunting for fabled pirate treasure.
That’s when a tale of unrequited love, blackmail and murder rapidly unravels.
And if that wasn’t tricky enough, her bully of a husband has tracked her across five states, determined to drag her back to Kansas…
Can Misty and her feline sidekicks solve this decades old mystery before another murder shakes the community?
The Bizarre Bodies at the Beach: Book 2
The glossy wedding venue brochure didn’t mention ritual murders on the beach…
Misty Milton has the honor of planning a delicious wedding feast, and the small town of Quinn is buzzing with excitement.
Misty’s gourmet pet food service is booming - or it was until the arrival of an elegant new town veterinarian…
Tall, frosty and blonde, Dr. Dixie Carlisle looks set to get her manicured claws on Misty's boyfriend Hank.
Surely history can't be repeating itself?
But this snooty veterinarian isn’t the only fresh face in Quinn.
And out of six new arrivals in town, two of them are already dead.
Is the culprit a newcomer, or a local resident with a murderous grudge?
Infidelity, a shady adoption agency and a peculiar pastor, makes this a mystery that will truly test the bonds of trust and friendship across this sleepy seaside town.
Misty will need to rely on her feline sidekicks, Doofus and Floofus, more than ever to catch the culprit before another bizarre body appears on the beach…
The Heinous Homicides on the Honeymoon: Book 3
A luxury honeymoon cruise. A game of cat and mouse with a serial killer.
The last thing Misty Milton wants on this trip is to unpack her special investigator badge.
But when the social media influencers on board drop like flies, she teams up with newlyweds Matt and Val and boyfriend Hank to catch this sea-bound serial killer.
It’s a race against time as the corpses continue to appear and everyone on board is a potential suspect.
Struggling with her toughest case yet, Misty fears this time she is way out of her depth.
Should she just hand in her badge and leave the investigation to the FBI?
Trapped at sea with her cats Doofus & Floofus, Misty has to find her sea legs fast to prevent more heinous homicides on the honeymoon.
The Crabby Cadaver at the Christmas Carnival: Book 0.5
Christmas cookies, candy canes, cocoa… and a cadaver?
Misty Milton was dreaming of a romantic retreat, not a holiday homicide…
Her special friend Hank had planned a cozy break at a snow-clad inn, far from their small hometown in California.
But festive celebrations at the Christmas Carnival are canceled when the loveable town Santa is accused of murdering one of his elves.
This relaxing road trip was meant to take their blossoming relationship to the next level… elf rivalry, replica reindeer and suspicious sleighs were never on the itinerary.
Helped by her cats, Floofus and Doofus, uncovering some very un-festive secrets about this quaint town in Vermont could change the way Misty and Hank feel about Christmas - forever.
Will Christmas cheer turn to Christmas fear for Misty, Hank and their feline companions?

Well written, well thought out plots, the author gives enough details about the characters to make them likable. The “cat thoughts” passages are short and simple-no talking pets but boy, do they communicate!
This is an excellent beginning to a new series. It is your typical cozy mystery with a bit more of a sophisticated feel to it. It starts off with a bang and rarely slows down. There is a cold case, buried treasure, bullies, action, and a good sprinkling of romance. I very much enjoyed the prologue, in that I thought I was getting a synopsis of the previous books in the series, which I really liked. Then I discovered that Ms. Clementine was simply catching her readers up on what had been going on in Misty's life before book 1 began. I thought that was a very clever way of introducing her characters and the series. Ms. Clementine was able to create such an emotional response from me with the character of Ben (did I mention I hate bullies?!!) that I will be sending her a bill for my increased blood pressure medication.
One thing that I appreciated in Ms.Clementine's story is that she allowed her main character to believe her significant other about a certain situation. Usually, the main character falls for all of the lies the "bad guys" are telling, but this time, Misty listens with both her head and her heart. (I'm not giving away any spoilers because Ms. Clementine doesn't drag this out. It's tied up in just a few pages, which is another plus in her favor.)
The Bizarre Bodies at the Beach
A thoroughly enjoyable cozy mystery. The characters feel like people I have run across in my life and are beginning to feel like friends. As I said in a previous review, one of my favorite things about the relationship between Misty and Hank is their open communication. It's not perfect, and Misty holds back sometimes when she shouldn't, but she usually gets where she needs to be. That need/desire for good communication is a nice change from most fictional couples.
There is plenty of goings on to keep the reader engaged between trying to solve the mystery, the usual complication in Misty's relationship with Hank, Matt and Val's wedding, and the ever-present, ever-lovable cats.
If you like cozy mysteries this series needs to be added to your list of favorites. I can't wait to see what is coming up next.
The Heinous Homicides on the Honeymoon
I must admit, this book was a bit "grittier" than most of Ms. Clementine's cozies, but it was still very enjoyable. All of my favorite characters were here and they portrayed the love and concern for each other that have made this series one of my favorites. An added bonus was the additional insight into Floofus and Doofus and their "relationships" with their parents. Being an animal lover from way back, this part of the book meant a lot to me. I would like to think my furbabies feel the same way about me. Even with more deaths, this story managed to be the heart-warming, caring, down-to-earth book that I have come to expect from this series. If you aren't familiar with Misty Milton and her friends, I recommend you get to know them. They are people you would enjoy having in your real life.
Check out this series at your earlier convenience. It is an uplighting and enjoyable read.
Floofus and Doofus are my favorite part of this series. The bits where they are talking and you get to see from their perspective is a different take on any cozy mystery I've ever read. The not cats (the dogs) is just one example of their view on things, it's hilarious.
Now that I've read all of the books I can't wait to see what happens for Misty, Hank, Val and Matt.
